Warm Greetings,

“LEARNING IS NOT ATTAINED BY CHANCE; IT MUST BE SOUGHT FOR WITH ARDOUR AND ATTENDED TO WITH DILIGENCE.” ― ABIGAIL ADAMS

Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy was established in the year 2007 with the inception of the institute. The Department deals with assessment, functional diagnosis, and evidence-based physiotherapy management of musculoskeletal disorders, including disorders of muscles. joints, tendons, ligaments, spinal discs, and cartilage. and bones.
Here at the Department. we have advanced diagnostic methods and clinical assessment to treat musculoskeletal (muscle and Joint) conditions.
Students are trained in Physical therapy Assessments for orthopedic conditions, Manual Therapy approaches. Electrotherapy and Electro-diagnosis, various assessment techniques. Skill developments & Research
In addition to traditional teaching methods. we have adopted Problem-based learning. Bedside teaching. skill training on models and activity-based learning. To expose students to Community-based physiotherapy. the Department participates in multi-diagnostic camps and organizes independent physiotherapy camps in neighboring villages.

At present following students are trained in the following courses under the affiliated University: 1. Bachelor of Physiotherapy ( BPTh)
2. Master of Physiotherapy( M.P-T) in Musculoskeletal Sciences
3. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D,) in Physiotherapy.
The infrastructure of the Department is over and above the requirements of the University. New equipment and other infrastructure are updated to keep pace with changing education.
i am also proud to say the Department has taken a great leap in integrating information and communication technology into the classroom teaching and learning process and Physiotherapy treatments.
