Department of Community Physiotherapy has observed Breast feeding week from 1st August to 7th August 2024.
Theme: “Closing the gap: Breastfeeding Support for all”
On 1st August 2024,
Inauguration ceremony of “World Breastfeeding Week” was done by Principal Dr. Shyam Ganvir Sir &
Symposium was organised for Third and Final year students.
Dr.Urmila Shinde, Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department delivered a lecture on Topic:Breast care during Pregnancy & Lactation.
Dr.Nikhil Doke, Assistant Professor, Department of Paediatrics, has also delivered a lecture on topic- Advantages of Breast Feeding then
Dr.Deepti Thokal, Associate Professor,
Department of Community Physiotherapy, delivered a lecture on topic- Breast problems during PNC.
All third and final year students attended the Symposium.
An E-Certificate was provided to all the students.
On 2nd August 2024
E- poster competition was organised. For this Dr. Shubhada Avachat HOD Department of Community Medicine, was judge. Total 20 students were participated. All the students received participation certificate.
Then on 5th August 2024
Quiz competition was organised for third year and fourth year students.
On 6th August 2024
Community outreach activity at Anganwadi vilad Ghat, was organised in that postgraduate student deliver a lecture in Marathi on topic Importance of Breastfeeding, to the lactating mothers and thid year students were also present for the outreach activity.
On 7th August 2024
Valedictory Function was taken in presence of Principal Dr. Shyam Ganvir Sir & Vice Principal Dr. Suvarna Ganvir ma’am, all the HOD’s and teaching staff. In that prizes for Quiz competition and e-poster competition were distributed.
